:: A Seat At The Table ::

The Painting...

This painting is based on the Parable of The Feast from Luke 14. In the story a man prepares a great feast but when it is ready, those who were invited make up some super lame reasons why they can’t make it. The host was angry and sent out his servants to round up people from all over the place to join the feast, from back alleys to country lanes the servants invited everyone they could find so that their master’s house would be full.
//
This story really struck me. The master is not satisfied with a partially full banquet hall; he wants every place at the table to be filled and everyone who enters to be not only satisfied but entirely filled.
//
In the same way, God invites each of us, out of his extraordinary goodness, into his kingdom and to a life that is full and complete with Him. There’s a space lovingly prepared for each one who wants a seat. You are welcome there, sought after and invited. Will you accept the invitation?

The Mission...

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this painting goes to support a mission with much the same vision as the servants in this story, inviting people in. COLAB is a Business As Missions coffee shop with the goal of creating community through coffee.
