I Have This Hope Fine Art Print

THE STORY...

This painting was inspired by a picture that I often saw in my mind when I was walking through a very challenging season. The song I Have This Hope/Control/By Your Side by Mass Anthem so beautifully adds these words:

"As I walk this great unknown, questions come and questions go. was there purpose for the pain? Did I cry these tears in vain? I don't want to live in fear. I want to trust that you are near. Trust your grace can be seen in both triumph and tragedy.

God you don't need me but somehow you want me. Oh how you love me and somehow that frees me to take my hands off of my life and the way it should go. God you don't need me but somehow you want me. Oh how you love me and somehow that frees me to open my hands up and give you control.

But sometimes my faith feels thin, like the night will never end. Oh will you catch every tear or will you just leave me here? I have this hope in the depths of my soul, in the flood or the fire you're with me and you won't let go Oh you want me, the King of Heaven wants me, so this world has lost its grip on me....."

Ultimately this painting is about surrender through the biggest struggles of life because you are SO LOVED by God. In Him is where you are truly safe and can be made whole again.

THE MISSION...

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this painting will go to support Rise Up Dance Project. Rise Up is a dance organization that utilizes dance to bring about awareness of the horrors that human trafficking and other traumas leave behind in their sufferers. It offers a form of healing to those that have suffered, teaches people how to utilize dance in a therapeutic way, and then teaches that skill to others. Thus perpetuating love and a hope for healing throughout the world to those who have suffered any form of trauma. Currently Rise Up Dance Project is in El Salvador with a group learning more about the culture, taking classes at local studios, serving a safe house, and other organizations. Rise Up aims to grow leaders who are compassionate, confident and brave to go change futures for the better.
