THE STORY...

Thistles was inspired by a Charles Spurgeon quote “Be thankful for the thorns and thistles, which keep you from being in love with this world”.

Beautiful thistles - those pain in the neck things that scrape you up and stick to your clothes for way too long- thankful for those? Yes! We can thank God for the reminder that while we may walk here for now, this is place is not our home.

THE MISSION...

A portion of the sales of this painting go to support Lootuse Küla (Village of Hope). Their mission is to give freedom for addicted people and help people who are in the greatest darkness and trouble. These men and women can surely see many thistles in life, but by the power of Jesus - who breaks every chain, we pray that each and every one will look forward to a future of freedom.
